Fermat is excited to introduce the brutish little brother version of their flag ship WFT13, the New WFC 10. This compact boring mill has a 100 mm (4") diameter spindle with 730 mm (29") of spindle travel. The Fermat WFC 10 provides higher torque coupled with extreme rigidity for rough machining and the added luxury of a boring spindle in comparison to horizontal machining centers. The cross roller bearing double pinion geared rotary table allows for Ultra-High precision contouring as well as superb repeatable accuracies The control system Heidenhain iTNC 530, TNC or 620 (Fanuc 0i) provides easy operation of all four axes.
The WFC-10 is primarily constructed with box-ways providing extreme rigidity. The vertical column of the machine is attached to the fixed base. The rigid base is cast with a 4-way z-axis bed design.
Work piece positioning is accomplished by rotation of the B-axis rotary table assembly upon the X-axis slide, which together make up the Z-axis saddle assembly. The entire Z-axis saddle assembly positions and feeds towards or away from the column upon the solid bed section.
WFC-10 CNC works quickly and accurately with the spindle travel 730 mm/ (29") up to 3000 R.P.M. This modern design is ideal for four-axis high performance machining of work pieces up to 5 metric tons (11000 lbs).
Thanks to the machine control systems made by HEIDENHAIN iTNC 530 or Fanuc0i TNC/Fanuc 31i it is very easy to use the machine in all four axes. The components are supplied by the world‘s leading manufacturers (Bosch, Siemens, Heidenhain, SKF, etc.). This ensures reliability and easy reach of the spare parts worldwide. A chip conveyor, ATC system for tool changing or coolant through spindle are among the optional available components.
