The Clausing SB-8 Slant Bed CNC Lathe is a compact, production-ready machine designed for precision and efficiency. Featuring a one-piece cast base and 30-degree slant bed construction made from Meehanite cast iron, this lathe ensures stability, reduced vibrations, and superior chip management. The linear way structure is highly rigid to suit all heavy-duty turning applications with rapid travels on the X and Z axes up to 1181”/min for increased productivity. The 12-station hydraulic turret produces enhanced clamping force and quick tool-to-tool time.
The machine’s 15 HP variable AC spindle drive delivers reliable torque for demanding turning applications, while its hydraulic tailstock and directly coupled servo motors to the ballscrews minimize backlash and distortion.
