Manual models use hydraulic longitudinal table movement with handwheel-controlled crossfeed, offering hands-on operator control. Automatic models add a Delta PLC conversational digital controller with a 7.2" color touch screen, enabling programmable up/down head positioning, auto crossfeed increments, and greater process repeatability for production environments.

All Clausing Covel Surface Grinders require three-phase power, available at 230 or 460 volts. Facilities not equipped with these voltage levels will require a step-up or step-down transformer. Spindle motor horsepower ranges from 2 hp to 7.5 hp depending on the model selected.

Clausing Covel Surface Grinders feature high-grade cast iron construction with heavy walls and reinforced honeycomb ribbing, providing exceptional rigidity and vibration dampening. Across the CSG Series, compatible grinding wheel diameters range from 8" to 14", with wheel widths from 0.5" to 2" and bore sizes from 1.25" to 5". The specific wheel specifications depend on the model; for example, the CSG3A1224 uses a 12" diameter wheel with a 1.25" width and 3" bore.
