All ALMACO welding tables maintain a precision flatness tolerance of ±0.02 inches across the entire tabletop surface. This level of accuracy is critical for frame welding, gate fabrication, and structural assembly where square, true work surfaces are essential to achieving consistent, high-quality welds without distortion or misalignment.

Standard ALMACO welding tables use 3/8" Grade 50 American steel for the tabletop. An upgrade to 1/2" Grade 50 steel is available on all models for added rigidity and durability under heavy or repeated loading. Both options are manufactured entirely in Nevada, Iowa using domestic materials and labor.

ALMACO welding tables feature a consistent 2" grid spacing across the tabletop. Smaller models (2.5'x4') use 16mm holes, while larger models (3'x3' and above) use 28mm holes. The top row of holes on all sides is drilled and tapped — either 5/8"-11 or 1"-12 — allowing direct attachment of clamps, fixtures, and stops.

Weight varies by model and configuration. The 2.5'x4' base model weighs approximately 464 lbs, while the 4'x8' standard model weighs approximately 2,000 lbs. The 1/2" steel upgrade and optional locking casters add additional weight. Buyers should account for floor load ratings and forklift access when planning placement.
